Grinder Blues is an American Blues/Rock band consisting of legendary King’s X front man Dug Pinnick and the EMMY award winning southern rockers Jabo (Jay-bo) and Scot “Little” Bihlman of The Bihlman Bros. Formed in 2014, Grinder Blues debut record was released in November of 2014 in US and Canada by Megaforce/Sony Records, and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Blues charts.
As lead singer and bassist for the legendary hard rock band King’s X, Dug Pinnick has been making ground breaking, melodic music for decades and is widely considered one of the greatest rock singers of all time. With five releases on Atlantic Records including the seminal “Gretchen Goes to Nebraska”, and subsequent releases for Metal Blade and Rat Pack records, Dug has continued his work with King’s X and various side projects including KXM, PGP and his solo band Pound Hound. With Grinder Blues, Dug has ventured into territory for the first time that is very near and dear to his heart…blues.
“I feel like I’ve really found my singing voice with this band. Like it fits right in with where I am right now as a vocalist, bassist and performer. And it’s such a blast!” says Pinnick.
